[Editors] File Management Plug-in for WordPress

We are in the process of redoing our website and have the need for a document management plug-in to help manage documents that we upload (e.g. Lesson plans and certification guidelines) the site and have to update periodically.  I see there are a number of plug-ins available that can do this but am wonder if this group has had any experience with any of them.
