I haven't personally used it, but it could be worth looking into.

Subject: [Editors] voice activation software

A friend has had a stroke and can now only type with one hand.  Are any of you familiar with voice-activated software for dictating to a computer?  I use what came with my iPhone and iPad and it works pretty well so long as you don't have a Scottish accent.  But for a desktop or laptop, I don't know what software to recommend.  Thanks for any info you can offer.
