Hi Laura,
There's a few options I've either researched or used when it comes to event ticketing.
1. There is MIT Conference services. Their service fee is about 30%, but they do a lot of the leg-work for you. They use Regonline as their vendor. I worked with Nicole Silva at MIT Conference Services last year.
2. There's also adMITone here's some info on that, I've never used them before, and I'm interested myself to hear from others who have used them:

3. There are vendors like Eventbrite and Regonline. They take about 16% service fee, and someone will have to set up the event registration forms (this can take a full day of work!) and be in charge of monitoring the activity of the registration as well. Then there's monitoring the in-take fees (sending to finance/reconciling). MIT Sloan has agreements with both EventBrite and Regonline, so if you want to explore those options contact these regional respective sales reps:
a. Eventbrite: Philip Galligan pgalligan at eventbrite.com<mailto:pgalligan at eventbrite.com>
b. Regonline: Sumner, Fred Fred.Sumner at activenetwork.com<mailto:Fred.Sumner at activenetwork.com>
I am currently utilizing Regonline (and chose against using Eventbrite) for the conferences I manage. Eventbrite and Regonline basically have the same functionality, but I feel Regonline's look and feel is a bit more streamline and less cluttered looking, which I gravitate towards.
I hope this helps! If anyone has used admitone, I'd also would like to get an idea of ease of use, attentiveness of services, etc.
Very best,
Angie

Subject: [Editors] Event ticketing - Eventbrite & adMIT One
Hello all,
We're looking to set up registration for our annual retreat, and have encountered an issue with Eventbrite sending superfluous emails.
In addition to their order confirmation email, registrants are receiving an additional email from Eventbrite entitled "Activate your Eventbrite account." Mind you, this is only if we choose to customize the order form questions, rather than capturing the perfunctory name/email info from attendees.
Has anyone else experienced this with Eventbrite?
Additionally, does anyone have experience with the new campus ticketing system adMIT One? Feedback good/bad/indifferent appreciated.
Thanks!
Laura
