[Editors] Advice for posters visualizing entire department?

Dear Editors and Infogroup,

I'm creating posters showing the faculty, research staff, and admin staff under the Comparative Media Studies umbrella -- ~100 people in all.

I could do a web-based version, but I've been asked to do it in print so passersby can get a sense of our size. So before I dive in to making InDesign docs, has anyone attempted something like this and might have advice/caveats?
