[Editors] Freelance Rates

Hi,

I am working with the Robert R. Taylor Network based at the Center for Educational Computing Initiatives.

We use freelancers to write articles for our website.
http://www.rrtn.org/en/2010/08/05/robert-coles/ for a sample.

I was wondering how much are people out there paying for freelance writers.  The articles in question are profiles of individuals and involve at least one interview.  500 words.
