[Editors] ebook formats?

It is not simple, and there are a huge number of options and rough
edges that you can encounter.
What's the source material like? How was the original book prepared?
Was it done in InDesign, Framemaker, Word, XSL:FO, Pages, LaTeX?
Does it have graphics or other images?
etc. etc.
If you can share a bit more information we can probably give you
some advice, but it is an immature market with a lot of technology
still developing, so count on getting your hands dirty.
That said, I'm certainly not an expert.
