[Editors] MIT acronyms and abbreviations

Hi everyone,

You may remember the Acronyms and Abbreviations web site that was  
maintained for several years by Janet Snover and then Catherine  
Avril. I took the reins after Catherine left MIT and, with some help  
from Susan Curran, I've transformed it into a wiki. What this means  
is that anyone at MIT (with certificates) can make additions or  
changes to the list, including adding a link or perhaps a short  
description to any of the entries to make them more informative. It's  
set up so that I get an email any time a change is made, and the wiki  
keeps a record of who made what changes. This aims to minimize the  
possibility of inadvertent errors or abuse.
