[Editors] Event Communications & the Web

Hi,
 
I am fairly new at MIT.
 
I will be planning events internally for my department, and would like to
hear about any experiences you may have with Event Planning &
Communications.  
 
In particular, I am seeking recommendations or other guidance related to
electronic tools for managing the event registration (RSVP) process via the
Web -- that is, as opposed to via email.
