[Editors] quick question

I posed this question to the owner of a production design firm we 
work with from time to time. I received the following response:

Hi Sandy,
I do contract freelance copy editors and proofreaders. The fee
is based on type of publication and length of articles/entire journal,
etc. Also on turnaround, advance
notice, style/standard of copyproofing (scientific/medical vs literary,
etc.). Depending on those variables, I would refer a particular editor.
