Dear Gang:

My ol' Globe buddy Ralph Ranalli, who was recently paroled from his 
long-time legal beat and is doing more general assignment work, asked 
me today if I know of any connections between MIT and the upcoming 
DNC. For example - is there any new communications technology or 
security technology we've pioneered that will be employed by media or 
law enforcement during the convention? Will we provide media with 
nanoreporters? Will MIT UAVs patrol the skies over the Fleet Center? 
(I know the answer to that one.) If you know of anything MIT/DNC
