Hi all:
This is not really an MIT-related issue but an attempt to help out my
friend Don Aucoin at The Globe.
Don asked me the following question:
"I've been asked to do a story on gay marriage that explores the views of
what might be called the broad middle, and I'm reaching out to smart people
like you to ask if you might know someone who could be described as on the
fence on the issue?
"I'm looking to interview folks who are generally supportive of or
open-minded about gay rights but asking themselves whether that support
extends all the way to marriage. It would have to be someone willing to
sort of walk me through their ongoing internal struggle, and it would have
to be someone who hasn't made up their mind yet one way or the other. It
doesn't matter whether they end up pro or anti, as long as they're
genuinely grappling with it now and willing to talk about it.
"f you know of anyone who fits this description and might be open to at
least discussing the possibility of an interview, could you please email me
at aucoin at globe.com or call 617-929-2901?"
Everyone I know has long since made up his or her mind on this issue.
Anyone know someone who might fit the bill?
Best,
Bill
