[ecco-support] Questions about differences between datasets in PO.DAAC and ECCO Drive

Hi Wenlan,

Good question! In the PO.DAAC drive, the data are organized as a specific
NetCDF format. If you want to work with that data format using MATLAB or
Python, feel free to chat with me. I have been using ECCOv4r4 data since
the past two years.

On the other hand, in the ECCO Drive, you will mainly find the binary
dataset (.data / .meta). I have not worked with these files yet because I
personally found the NetCDF to be easier to handle specially in Python.

Best,
