Hi Sarah,

The good news is that there are two ways for you to batch download files from the ecco drive.

1. "mount" the ecco drive to your local machine as a virtual disk.  Once the ecco-drive is mounted, you can simply copy (or rsync) any files and folders you want from the virtual disk to your local disk as if you were copying from one folder to another.  Instructions for mounting the ecco drive are here:

2. use 'wget' to copy folders/files from ecco-drive to your local machine.  Instructions for doing so are on the ecco-group.org website, here is the link to the file:

    My name is Sarah Hall, I am a PhD student at the University of South Carolina in the Satellite Oceanography Laboratory under Dr. Subrahmanyam Bulusu. I am researching polar ocean dynamics and will try to incorporate ECCOv5 data. I see the files are in
     folders found at https://ecco.jpl.nasa.gov/drive/files/Version5/Alpha/. I was wondering,
    how can I download data in each folder at once, without clicking on the individual .nc files? I find it will be very time consuming especially if I want to look at daily files. I appreciate your time.
