Thanks to Hong for answering the question. We’ll have the pull request merged shortly.

Lei, In addition to the Matlab package gcmfaces https://github.com/MITgcm/gcmfaces, there is a Python package called ECCOv4-py (https://github.com/ECCO-GROUP/ECCOv4-py) that can be used to analyze the ECCO v4 products. Some tutorials using ECCv4-py are available at https://github.com/ECCO-GROUP/ECCO-v4-Python-Tutorial. In the tutorials, ECCO_v4_Loading_the_ECCOv4_state_estimate_fields_on_the_native_model_grid.py gives an example about how to load the netCDF files of the ECCO V4 product.
