[ecco-support] interpolated ecco fields

Hello,

I am a graduate student at CSU and interested in working with output from ECCO to quantify the role of ocean dynamics in contributing to SST variance across the globe. I am looking into the data and found that we should not use the interpolated fields for budget calculations. Maybe it is obvious, but I am wondering why this is? Does the error become large?
