Event: RSP FEDORA TRAINING DAYS
Date: Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd January 2009.
Venue: King's College London, UK.


This is a unique opportunity to find out more about one of the most
talked-about repository softwares!

The Repositories Support Project (RSP) is organising an event on the
22nd and 23rd of January at the King's College London. The intention is
to bring together librarians, repository managers and information
management specialists with a team of experts representing the Fedora
software platform.

Speakers will include Sandy Payette, Thornton Staples, Chris Awre,
Richard Green and David Flanders.  Split over two days, the first day
will be aimed more at repository managers, and anyone else interested in
getting a general overview of the platform, and will cover such issues
as:

* Background to Fedora
* Fedora Architecture
* Content Modelling and Policies
* Case Studies
* The Future of Fedora 

The second day will be a little more technical and is aimed at those
working more closely with the Fedora technology.  Areas covered will
include:

* Fedora Service Framework
* Tools and Interfaces
* Content Model Architecture
* RDF and the Resource Index
* Indexing, Search and Access Control

Note that this event has been designed so that delegates are free to
attend either or both days.  T


Who should attend?

Repository managers, administrators and technical support staff,
librarians, archivists, researchers, information management specialists.
