Event: RSP Repository Services Day
Date: Thursday 15th January 2009.
Venue: University of Bath, UK.

What tools and services are out there which can support repository
managers in their work today? Are these tools and services in tune with
the practical day-to-day requirements of their repository manager
colleagues? If this has any resonance then this event is for you!

The Repositories Support Project (RSP) is organising an event on the
15th January at the University of Bath. The intention is to bring
together librarians, repository managers and representatives from a
variety of different services at a practical focussed event to talk
together and share perspectives, requirements, problems and solutions.

This event will include a workshop, which we hope will lead to
collective recommendations for what the next moves for repository
managers and service providers should be to provide practical focussed
support, services and tools. In addition, the workshop should further
repository managers' understanding of how to use the tools already
available to them.

As well as presentations from a number of services, there will also be
the opportunity to view posters, and engage with project teams and see
demonstrations of the latest tools. The day will end with a
participative discussion session.

Who should attend?

Repository managers, librarians, archivists, researchers, information
management specialists, service providers.

Benefits of attendance:

Get up to speed with the outcomes from the many services and projects
working in this important area.
An opportunity to share your repository management issues, (concerns,
wishes, solutions) with peers and experts.
Share your repository and open access expertise with the repository
community Gain some tips from fellow practitioners on what works for
them.
