[Dspace-general] Communites by subject

Dear Friends

 

I am coordinating the ETD Project for the University of the West Indies,
Mona Campus in Jamaica. We are about to install DSpace for this purpose and
also we have expanded the ETD to an Institutional Repository. 

 

There is a suggestion from a member of the Project team that we divide the
communities by subject, instead of faculties/departments.

Has anybody in the discussion group have set up the communities by subject
and what are the implications in doing so?

Any comments/guidance on this matter will be most appreciated.
