[Dspace-general] Red Hat installations

Hi,
   My IT manager would like to know if anyone out there is running an older version of Red Hat that was working with a fully Red Hat Enterprise License (RHEL) supported base?  We are aware of the entry in the wiki titled "Installing DSpace on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 as well as "Are there any tips on running DSpace on RedHat/Fedora Core Linux?."  
   I am curious if anyone would recommend a different operating system environment that might be easier to set up?  Thanks.
