[Dspace-general] Removing items mapped but not original to a collection

After the search when mapping items to other collections, there is an
instructions at the top of the page "Check the box next to items you wish to
add or remove, and choose 'add' or 'remove'. The only button options that
appear on the page are "Add" in the add column and "Add"  and "Cancel" at
the top and bottom right of the display list.  No removed button appears.
Is there a configuration option that needs to be set to make the "Remove "
option appear or is something wrong with my installation.
