Hello Susan,

I'm working on a video preservation project called the
Hemispheric Institute Digital Video Library (HIDVL) here at
NYU's Digital Library.

The project uses several types of metadata:

Descriptive Metadata: MARC/XML
Technical Metadata : slight variants of the Library of Congress Audio
                      Metadata and Video Metadata schemas:
                      http://memory.loc.gov/mets/Schemas/AMD.xsd
                      http://memory.loc.gov/mets/Schemas/VMD.xsd
Container : METS

MARC/XML will be mapped onto Dublin Core for ingest into DSpace.
Each metadata document will be stored as a bitstream as part of a
DSpace item.

I hope this helps.

best regards,
joe
