[Dspace-general] Thoughts on DSpace architecture

Hi all,

Over the last couple of days I've been slaving away trying to get all of
the thoughts that have been running around my head over the last 2-3
years regarding DSpace architecture, to make sure they're not lost and
to serve as input to future DSpace architecture work.  The result is the
document I've just uploaded to the Wiki:

It's rather long but it does represent a lot of the thoughts that have
been rattling around my head for a long time.  I've also submitted it to
MIT's DSpace where (if they accept it :) it will be kept for posterity
(or future embarrasment of myself).
