[Dspace-general] Community owners

Hi,

We've been pondering how to run and administrate our DSpace
installation. What we would like to be able to do it to create a
[sub]community per academic department, create a group of users who can
administrate that community, and let them get on with it.

Because DSpace permissions do not commute, if an administrator (ADD
permissions on the community) tries to create a sub-community or
collection, they can, but don't then have permissions to add to that
sub-community or collection.

How do other people manage this?
