Hello Dorm Residents,

As the end of the semester is visible on the horizon, please remember
that there are a lot of deadlines coming up. In this email you'll find
information about the following:

1. All the housing deadlines you need to know, in one place! Includes
information for seniors.
2. All the information you might want about moving into the new dorm, W1
3. An opportunity to make $500 and get free summer housing as a summer RA!
4. An opportunity to run for an office in the Dormitory Council
(www.mit.edu/dormcon)

1. Housing Forms and deadlines!
- Confirmation Forms:  By April 9th, ALL students living on campus in
the Spring 2008 semester must either RENEW or CANCEL their Fall 2008
housing by submitting the Housing Confirmation Form (including seniors
who are graduating):

- Housing Reassignment Lottery- By April 9th, Any student who is
interested in a housing switch (must live on campus in Spring 2008),
may request a switch in the April Lottery by submitting the Housing
Request Form:  http://web.mit.edu/housing/undergrad/application.html

- 9th Term Housing Requests- By April 9th, Students who have used
their 8 semesters of housing eligibility, may request 9th term housing
by submitting a 9th Term Housing Application:
http://web.mit.edu/housing/undergrad/9th.html.

- Summer Housing Applications- By April 20th, Students can begin apply
for on campus Summer Housing by submitting a Summer Housing
Application at:  http://web.mit.edu/housing/undergrad/summer.html.
Rates have remained the same as last year's Summer Housing rates and
have not increased!



2. Be one of the first residents of the new undergraduate dorm!
- There is an information session for those interested in moving into
NW35/W1 on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 3:30 - 5 pm in the Mezzanine
Lounge W20. Come for free food or to just learn about the new dorm!

- Already know you want to move to the new dorm? The Phoenix Group
community is now accepting applications for upperclass assignment to
the "new Ashdown".  Information can be found at:
http://web.mit.edu/housing/undergrad/nw35info.html.  Applications are
due by April 9, 2008.



3. Want free summer housing and a $500 stipend? Become a Summer RA!
Summer RAs are like summertime GRTs. They are responsible for building
community by planning events in the dorms, acting as a general
resource for students, and dealing with emergencies and other issues
that may arise. You'll need to fill out a webform, write a couple of
essays, and give references. Apply today! The deadline is Friday,
April 4th.

4. Dormitory Council Spring Elections
Interested in Dining? MIT Alcohol Policies? Housing Assignments?
Handing Money? Taking Minutes? DormCon probably has a position you!
We're having elections Monday, April 28th, location to be determined.
