From Hand to Mind: Advances in Evidence-based Teaching

Join us in celebrating the tradition of excellence in undergraduate teaching at MIT and in honoring the 2016 MacVicar Faculty Fellows, Srinivas Devadas, Jeffrey Grossman, Michael Sipser, and Patricia Tang.

Dean Dennis Freeman will introduce the new Fellows and host a symposium focused on the implementation of evidence-based practices and tools to support student learning: from active learning, to project-based subjects, to blended learning, to Making. The panel discussion features Professors Martin Culpepper, Michael Cuthbert, David Darmofal, Catherine Drennan, and Robert Miller; and Janet Rankin, Interim Director of the Teaching & Learning Laboratory. A special celebratory reception to honor the new Fellows will follow from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm in Bartos lobby.
