MacVicar Day 2016
From Hand to Mind: Advances in Evidence-based Teaching

Friday March 11, 2016
Bartos Theater, E15-070

Symposium: 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Reception: 4:00 – 5:00 PM

Join us in honoring the 2016 MacVicar Faculty Fellows and celebrating the tradition of excellence in undergraduate teaching at MIT. Dean Dennis Freeman will introduce the 2016 MacVicar Faculty Fellows and host a symposium focused on the implementation of evidence-based practices and tools to support student learning: from active learning, to project-based subjects, to blended learning, to Making. The panel discussion will feature Professors Martin Culpepper, Michael Cuthbert, David Darmofal, Catherine Drennan, and Robert Miller; and Janet Rankin, Interim Director of the Teaching & Learning Laboratory. A special celebratory reception to honor the new Fellows will follow from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm in Bartos lobby.
