    The Biology Diversity Community (BDC) would like to invite you to our Ice Cream Float Social, happening today, Thursday, May 5 at 3:00 PM in 68-180! Come meet and socialize with other diverse members of the Biology community over a sweet treat and find out how to get involved with future BDC events!     The BDC is a cross-disciplinary, student-driven group that fosters peer support for members of underrepresented and historically marginalized groups and unites a network of individuals throughout the Biology community. Our mission is to highlight and celebrate diverse voices and to continue department-wide conversations about race, gender, diversity, equity, and inclusion. We aim to build a welcoming community and space for diverse individuals, engage the MIT Biology community in educational discussions, disrupt biases and systems of oppression, and create opportunities to learn how individuals’ unique identities influence their experiences.
