About the MITEI Summer UROP:
Students who participate in the MITEI Summer UROP<https://energy.mit.edu/education/undergraduate/urop/> don’t just get funding for their research. They also participate in 10 weeks of programming (including weekly lunches!) focused on building professional skills, culminating in a poster presentation of their work at MITEI’s Annual Research Conference. Meeting the climate crisis and effecting the energy transition require interdisciplinary approaches, and MITEI funds students from across the Institute. Our summer programming not only aims to help students build skills, but also connections with others with the same passions in different fields.
All MITEI-funded UROPs:

· Are paid $15.25 an hour.

· Receive both formal and informal support from the MITEI community, including help finding jobs, internships, and future research projects.

· Get access to the Energy Commons (10-063), with free coffee and snacks.
