Hello all,
I’m writing today to ask for your help to encourage your February graduates to participate in MIT’s Digital Diploma program.
While everyone receives a paper diploma, students must opt in and take action to receive their digital diploma. It’s a simple process. All they need to do is download the Blockcerts Wallet app and add MIT as an issuer once they receive an email from us inviting them to do so.
Digital diplomas will be issued on Thursday, February, 17, and on the last day of the month thereafter. Students should additionally be aware that the window for receiving their digital diploma closes when their MIT Kerberos account is deactivated next January.
Digital diplomas enable students to own their MIT credential and share it with whomever they wish — potential employers, institutions of higher learning, and family and friends.
I would be grateful if you could incorporate the following information in any communications to your graduating students. The link goes to full instructions on our website.

Digital diplomas
All graduating students are eligible to receive a digital version of their diploma at no cost. Look out for an email from the Registrar’s Office inviting you to download the Blockcerts Wallet app on your mobile device and add MIT as an issuer. You must complete these steps before your degree award date to ensure that you receive your digital diploma as soon as it is available.
