Subject: [Invite to Course 7 Grad students] VCs Tell All Pitch Night Event with Innovation Endeavors and Rhapsody Ventures
Date: October 6, 2021 at 11:59:01 AM EDT
I hope you're doing well and that Boston Fall is as lovely as ever. By way of introduction, I'm a Course 2 alum and current investor at Innovation Endeavors, an early stage VC firm cofounded by Eric Schmidt. I'm reaching out as we're hosting a pitch night and happy hour for MIT and Harvard grad and undergrad students (additional detail below) to which I'd love to invite Course 7 grad students. This should be a great opportunity for grad students to get more exposure to a sometimes opaque VC fundraising process.
Would you be open to passing this invite along to the relevant mailing lists by chance?
Best,
Natasha

As an early stage founder or entrepreneurship-curious person, have you ever wondered "How do VCs evaluate our company behind closed doors"? Early-stage VC firms Innovation Endeavors<https://www.innovationendeavors.com/>, co-founded by Eric Schmidt, and Rhapsody Venture Partners<https://rhapsodyvp.com/> would like to invite you to "VCs Tell All: What We’re Looking to See in Your First Fundraising Pitch".
In contrast to pitch night competitions, we are hosting this event to give first-time founders, operators, academics, and students transparency and insight into an opaque and potentially intimidating VC fundraising process. We often observe that the difference between a first-time founder "nailing vs. failing" an initial VC conversation is that they don’t know the rules of engagement: what is the VC looking for in a pitch; what questions do they need answered to get excited; how do I convey my vision vs. what I’ve already built; am I even ready to embark on this process; and so on.
We'll provide clarity on all of the above, through the role playing of ~3 pitches and the post-pitch VC discussion that might happen behind closed doors. Additional details:
· When: Thursday October 14th 7-9:30pm EDT (Pitches will be remote with an in-person outdoor happy hour to follow)
· Who: MIT and Harvard early stage founders and/or entrepreneurship-interested community
o Panelists from Innovation Endeavors, Rhapsody Venture Partners, Pillar VC, and Congruent Ventures, sharing their investing theses and pitch guidelines
· RSVP: Whether you'd like to pitch or just attend, RSVP here<https://forms.gle/1215czWW8mrCVPBD9> as space is limited, and we'll follow up with details!
· Covid: Any happy hour attendees will be required to be masked and vaccinated.
If you know other MIT or Harvard-affiliated folks who would enjoy or benefit from this event, please feel free to send along this invite.
Hope to see you soon,
Innovation Endeavors and Rhapsody Venture Partners
