Entrepreneurs of color and those seeking to service communities of color disproportionately face challenges to running and growing a successful business. Msaada Partners, now Majira, is a nonprofit that supports entrepreneurs of color by providing network connections and consultations. Majira seeks a group of interns who want to work directly with early stage start-ups and small businesses leveraging tech for social good, build sustainable networks for underserved communities, and assist companies with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by coaches and consulting teams during the formal program.

Do you want to be part of a community effort to protect the history and character of vulnerable Boston neighborhoods? Join the team at Boston Preservation Alliance as their GIS Mapping intern! You will focus on a conceptual mapping project that helps underrepresented groups identify sites and properties in their neighborhoods to be preserved. Because only the more affluent neighborhoods in Boston have historic preservation protections, other neighborhoods will be targeted for this pilot to help slow the onslaught of demolition and insensitive new construction that erodes the history and character of these areas.
