Miss department coffee hours? Come join Darcy Gordon, PhD and Summer Morrill, PhD this Thursday, 3/25/2021, at 12 PM (EDT) to discuss Education: Identity and Classroom Experience for “Coffee and Conversations with the BDC”. We will cover up to $5 of your treat of choice (coffee, tea, baked good, etc.) if you attend our event and send bdcgroup at mit.edu<mailto:bdcgroup at mit.edu> a copy of your receipt (refreshment must be purchased on Mar 25 for reimbursement). We welcome faculty, staff, students, and postdocs in MIT Biology labs, including Microbiology and CSBi students.

The mission of the new Coffee and Conversations series is to foster an inclusive workshop-like environment where members of the MIT Biology community will participate in conversations on gender, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and more. For this meeting, please reflect on the following questions, read our attached community guidelines and refer to the attached document titled Identity & Education_BDC:

  *   How has your educational experience shaped your identity?
