Subject: RA position in the Saunders Lab (Vollum Institute, OHSU)
Hope all's well! I'm writing because I have an open RA position in my (very) new lab at the Vollum Institute at OHSU in Portland, OR.
I'm wondering if you might share this posting with graduating seniors in Biology and Course 6-7?
If you know of other contacts at MIT that might have access to graduating seniors with research interests in computer science, neuroscience or virology, please do let me know. The posting is below:
This Research Assistant position is (at minimum) a 2 year commitment at the Saunders Lab within the Vollum Institute at OHSU (Portland, OR). We're looking for a highly-motivated and organized person that might have training and research experience in computational biology or molecular genetics and an interest in integrating bench and bioinformatic experiments. This young scientist would work on an independent research project involving brain circuitry and neurotropic viruses, likely paired with a talented incoming postdoc from France. The aim of this research duo will be to study neurotropic virus - host cell biology using single-cell genomic methods and develop next-generation tools for mapping synaptic connections amongst brain cells.
The Saunders Lab is located with the Vollum Institute for Neuroscience in Portland, OR
