> I hope that your semester is off to a great start! My name is Rujul Gandhi, and I’m a member of the MIT Educational Studies Program (ESP). Every fall, MIT ESP organizes Splash, a program where high school students take classes from MIT undergraduate and graduate students. This year, we’re excited to announce that Splash will still be happening virtually. We’ve had students from Biology teach at our programs in the past, and we would appreciate it if you could pass along this teaching and outreach opportunity:
> tl;dr: Teach a virtual class on anything to high school students on the weekend of November 14–15!
>
> Register at: esp.mit.edu/teachforsplash2020 <https://esp.mit.edu/teachforsplash2020>
> To learn more, come to our (virtual) infosession on Thursday, September 10th at 7 PM Eastern. RSVP at: esp.mit.edu/splashinfosession2020 <https://esp.mit.edu/splashinfosession2020>
> Are you looking for a fun weekend activity this semester? Do you want to be a part of one of MIT’s most iconic events? This fall, teach anything with the Educational Studies Program, through Splash!
>
> Splash gives MIT students like you the opportunity to teach thousands of motivated and curious high school students anything you want, in any teaching format, length, or style. Past classes have included “Bird Basics,” “Explore Solar Energy,” “Cryptography,” “Breakdancing,” “Woven Paper Fish,” “What’s a Genome,” and more <https://esp.mit.edu/random>. Most classes are taught by small teams of MIT students, so spread the word to your friends and colleagues, and join a community of new and past Splash teachers in a weekend-long celebration of teaching and learning!
>
> This year, Splash will be fully virtual and take place on the weekend of November 14-15. After running Summer HSSP, a virtual program this summer where over 2000 students took classes from nearly 200 teachers, ESP is excited to make virtual Splash an enjoyable experience for all our students and teachers! If you’d like to learn more about the virtual ESP teacher experience, you can read blogs written by our Summer HSSP teachers here <https://mitesp.home.blog/teacher-blog/>. As a teacher at our program, you’ll receive free swag along with the joy and satisfaction of sharing your passions with equally interested students! Sign up <http://esp.mit.edu/teachforsplash2020> to teach a class by October 2.
>
> Have any questions, need class ideas, or curious to learn more? Come to our infosession (zoom link <https://mit.zoom.us/j/99370775158>) on September 10 at 7pm EDT! RSVP here <http://esp.mit.edu/splashinfosession2020>.
