Hello- If applicable, please forward the TPP virtual open house email below to your current students. Thanks! Barb

Greetings,

The Technology Policy Program (TPP) virtual fall open house and Q&A will be on Tuesday, October 20th, 4-5PM. TPP Director, Prof Noelle Selin, and TPP Director of Education, Dr. Frank Field, will give a brief overview of the program, followed by a Q&A session.

To RSVP to the TPP virtual open house, please complete this Survey Monkey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TPP20Oct

TPP is a research based two year master's program that is housed in the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society within the Schwarzman College of Computing. In addition to coursework in subjects such as policy making, law, quantitative methods, and economics; TPP students conduct research in labs, research centers and working groups, thus developing a dual competency in their respective field and that of policy. Since the format of TPP is that of a standard School of Engineering masters degree, it can often be completed as a dual degree with one single thesis satisfying both programs.

TPP graduates enter fields in industry, government, regulatory agencies and consulting, and they help to guide in technology development and deployment. TPP fills a gap that traditional policy or science programs leave behind.

If you are unable to attend the open house, TPP hosts informational webinars throughout the fall. More information can be found on the events page of the TPP web site, https://tpp.mit.edu/events/<http://tpp.mit.edu/index.php/home/masters-program/consolidated-admissions-page/admissions-webinars-2017/>

Any questions? Please send them to tpp at mit.edu<mailto:tpp at mit.edu>

Best,

Barb
