[bioundgrd] Non-Local Travel Policy

Hello Biology community,

Recognizing it can sometimes be difficult to find info when you really need it, here is a reminder about COVID testing/quarantine guidelines after non-local travel.

All community members must register personal and MIT-related travel in the MIT Travel Registry <https://compass.mit.edu/>  prior to departure.  (COVIDPass users can also do so in COVIDPass).  

Travelers must follow the Covid guidelines from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts <https://www.mass.gov/info-details/travel-information-related-to-covid-19>.  (There are no low-risk states right now, except Hawaii.)
 
Specifically for MIT, travelers must adhere to post-travel protocols upon return to campus:
Student travelers living in MIT housing must be tested for Covid-19 as soon as they return to campus, quarantine for seven days, and then be tested a second time with a negative result.
All other travelers must quarantine for seven days and then be tested for Covid-19 with a negative result.
As a reminder, be aware that COVID testing will be offered during Winter Break, but on a modified schedule of days and times.  COVIDPass users should plan accordingly to avoid temporary loss of building access.

MIT Covid Testing Sites will be CLOSED on 12/24, 12/25, 12/27, 12/31, 1/1 and 1/3.  

Hours on other days during Winter Break are reduced from the current schedule.  See Medical Testing Information <http://covidapps.mit.edu/medical-testing-information> for specific details.
