MIT Doctoral Program in History, Anthropology, and Science, Technology and Society (HASTS)
Prospective Student Visit Day

Monday, October 28, 2019
9:00 am - 1:30 pm
Register by: Monday, October 21

The doctoral program in HASTS trains scholars to study science and technology as activities situated in social and cultural contexts. Students do their research in a wide variety of areas including, but not limited to, history of medicine, anthropology of sustainability, scientific visualization, environmental history, and anthropology of life sciences. To see the wide variety of dissertation topics written about by our students, visit http://web.mit.edu/hasts/graduate/alumni.html.

The HASTS Visit Day gives prospective students a chance to get a better understanding of what our program offers in terms of research and resources, and to help them decide if our program may be a good fit for them. The registration form (due Oct. 21) and outline of the day's activities are posted at http://web.mit.edu/hasts/admissions/visit.html .

We are going to offer a limited number of slots to Skype in to the presentation portion of the day, so travel may not be necessary to participate. Registration by Oct. 21 is still necessary!

If you think you might apply this year, or even a few years from now, you are welcome to attend our visit day on Oct. 28th!

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Karen
