Prospective Student Visit Day<br>
<br>
<b>Monday, October 28, 2019</b><br>
9:00 am - 1:30 pm<br>
<i>Register by: Monday, October 21</i><br>
<br>
The doctoral program in HASTS trains scholars to study science and technology as activities situated in social and cultural contexts. Students do their research in a wide variety of areas including, but not limited to, history of medicine, anthropology of sustainability,
scientific visualization, environmental history, and anthropology of life sciences. To see the wide variety of dissertation topics written about by our students, visit <a href="http://web.mit.edu/hasts/graduate/alumni.html">http://web.mit.edu/hasts/graduate/alumni.html</a>. <br>
<br>
The HASTS Visit Day gives prospective students a chance to get a better understanding of what our program offers in terms of research and resources, and to help them decide if our program may be a good fit for them. The registration form (due Oct. 21) and
outline of the day's activities are posted at <a href="http://web.mit.edu/hasts/admissions/visit.html">http://web.mit.edu/hasts/admissions/visit.html</a> . <o:p></o:p></p>
