Hi all,
We're seeking undergraduate input on a potential computational thinking requirement. Could you please distribute details on this forum to undergrads in your departments? Thank you for your help.

Heard rumours about a computation GIR? Have feedback on whether or not it's warranted? Want to provide input on possible implementation? The student representatives on the Committee on the Undergraduate Program (CUP) want to hear your feedback on a potential computational thinking requirement!
The CUP is charged with oversight over the undergrad academic program, including GIRs. A computational thinking requirement is being considered in light of the final report<http://due.mit.edu/sites/default/files/2017-01_computational_thinking_requirement_FINAL_CLEAN.pdf> from the Study Group on Algorithmic Reasoning and Computational Thinking for MIT Undergraduates.
Feel free to email cup-undergrads at mit.edu<mailto:cup-undergrads at mit.edu> with questions, comments or feedback!
