Taking 1, 2 or more gap years before going to medical school/other health profession schools is becoming increasingly more of a trend. Come hear from MIT alumni who have either completed a gap year or are currently taking a gap year before entering and/or applying to medical school. Learn from their experiences and advice on identifying and applying for gap year opportunities, as well as on maximizing your gap year experience in preparation for applying to medical school/health profession school.

HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION

Come listen to SSG Raymond Orosco speak about the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) which offers an opportunity to serve while obtaining financial support for medical or dental school. HPSP covers 100% of tuition, required books, health insurance, and school required materials at the school of one's choice. As a recipient of the scholarship, you would also receive a monthly stipend over $2,100 for the duration of medical or dental school and could qualify for a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

As a recipient of the scholarship, you would also receive a monthly stipend over $2,178 for the duration of medical school and could qualify for a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
