Date: November 26, 2014 at 1:03:46 PM EST
With rapid advances in biosciences, medicine, and technology, society has an increased need and demand for individuals with expertise in the ethical and policy implications of science and technology. The Duke MA in Bioethics & Science Policy<https://scienceandsociety.duke.edu/learn/ma/> is the only program in the US that combines bioethics and science policy to truly prepare students to address the societal impact of these advances.
We thought this program would be of special interest to your genomics students, as the MA offers a concentration in genomics.

Duke MA in Bioethics & Science Policy<https://scienceandsociety.duke.edu/learn/ma/>
Should we use technologies that enhance or alter our brains? Is it ever ethical to clone a human being? How should genetic information be used in law enforcement?
The Duke MA in Bioethics & Science Policy<https://scienceandsociety.duke.edu/learn/ma/> invites students to address these questions and many more. The program is the only one in the US that combines bioethics and science policy to truly prepare students to address the societal impact of advances in the biosciences, medicine, and technology. Students explore cutting-edge developments in such fields as genomics and neuroscience and how scientific advances impact law and policy. Each student works with a mentor throughout the program to create an individualized academic experience.
Please join us to learn more about the MA in one of the following online information sessions:
• Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, 3 p.m. (EST)
• Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, 2 p.m. (EST)
Each information session will explore the MA curriculum, concentrations, practicum opportunities, admissions, financial aid, and the unique and individualized student experience.
