Common Purpose Global Leader Experience – Boston
Global Leader Experiences (GLEs) are run for university students in Magnet Cities across the world, where large numbers - from at least 100 nationalities - of the world's talent convene to study. Common Purpose are returning to Boston for a second year to run a Global Leader Experience for students at Harvard and MIT, forming an official programme of the Harvard Wintersession<http://wintersession.college.harvard.edu/>.
Over four days you go off campus to explore a global Challenge - ‘What makes a city smart’ - from a Boston perspective, meeting leaders from business, government and NGOs. You’ll visit and hear from a broad range of organisations such as: Boston Police Department, edX, Cambridge Innovation Center, Metropolitan Area Planning Council, Boston Healthcare for the Homeless and Microsoft.
Working together with other students you’ll generate innovative solutions to the Challenge which ultimately you will present to a panel of city leaders.
Dates: 20 - 23 January 2015
Cost: FREE
Eligibility: the programme is open to all students currently enrolled, at undergraduate or graduate level, at Harvard or MIT.
