Dear Course 7, 7A, and Course 6-7 Majors:

This is a final reminder that the mid-term advising period ends this Thursday, April 26th, Drop Date. If you have not done so already, please make an appointment with your faculty advisor for some time within this period. You can refer to the faculty profiles page on the Biology Department website<http://web.mit.edu/biology/www/facultyareas/viewalpha.html> to find their office contact information.

This is the ideal moment for you to bring up any issues that are affecting you personally and academically, as well as to review choices for courses in the upcoming semester, discuss ideas for your future career plans, and to get to know your advisor better, particularly in terms of his/her professional background and areas of research. Even if Biology is your secondary major or you are a Course 6-7 student, it is still important to regularly touch base with your Course 7 advisor; please take advantage of this time to meet with him/her.

Please note that as the advising period ends on Drop Date, any changes, such as those listed below, that need to be approved by your advisor should be taken care of at this meeting.

Last day to cancel subjects from Registration.

Last day to change a subject from Credit to Listener.

Last day to add a time-arranged subject that started after beginning of the term.

Last day to Petition for May Advanced Standing Exam (given during Final Exam Period).

Last day to add half-term subjects offered in second half of term.

All best,
Joyce
