MIT BrainTrust presents ...
Brain Awareness Week

This week BrainTrust is working to raise awareness of neurological disorders and support the PLGA Foundation, a non-profit which raises money for research targeting childhood brain tumors. Please stop by our booth in Lobby 10 on Monday & Friday and in the Student Center on Tuesday & Wednesday for baked goods and to learn more about brain injury and neurological diseases. See more information for our other Brain Awareness Week events below.

Photo Exhibition
Tuesday, April 24
10am–3pm
Student Center
Stop by our booth in the Student Center, where Sebouh Kandilian, a local stroke survivor, will be selling his photographs. Sebouh suffered a severe hemorrhagic brainstem stroke at the age of 22, which left him with a number of neurological deficits that prevented him from pursuing his dream of being an eye doctor. Since then, Sebouh has taken up photography and has exhibited his work at local libraries, the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, MGH, and now at Children's Hospital Boston.

Brain Injury Panel
Thursday, April 26
6pm–8pm
Room 4-145
BrainTrust is hosting a panel on brain injury which includes Dr. Laura Glufing-Tham, a speech-language pathologist at Emerson College, who will be speaking about cognitive rehabilitation for brain injury survivors, as well as several survivors of brain injury in the club. Dinner will be served!
