>Dear Colleagues,
>
>In OME, we in the process of recruiting facilitators for one of our
>tutorial programs called Seminar XL. This program consists of well
>structured study groups composed of roughly 5 students each that
>meet twice per week for 90 minutes each session to discuss course
>concepts and problem-solving methods. Students must be enrolled in
>a course to enroll in the corresponding Seminar XL study group.
> Each group is led by what we call a facilitator, who helps to guide
>the discussion. Facilitators are graduate students, upperclass
>undergraduates who earned an A in the relevant course previously,
>and sometimes research scientists.
>
>At this point last year, we had about 70 student enrollments in the
>program. This year we are at about 120 and still increasing. Thus,
>we are in need of facilitators to run a number of our study groups.
> The most critical needs at the moment are for study groups
>corresponding to 3.091, 7.012, 18.01,18.01A, 8.01, 8.01L, and 8.02.
>
>In addition, through our Tutorial Services Room (TSR), we offer
>one-on-one and group tutoring in any course upon request.
>Therefore, we need TSR tutors as well.
>
>We pay grad facilitators and tutors $15/hr and undergrads $13/hr.
>Pay for research scientists is negotiable.
>
>Please spread the word among your students, especially your graduate
>students, of both our urgent need to fill facilitator positions in
>Seminar XL and our need for TSR tutors.
>
>Thanks for your kind attention to this matter.
>
>Sincerely,
>
