Colleagues,</font></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><font

<blockquote type="cite" cite><font face="Arial">In OME, we in the
process of recruiting facilitators for one of our tutorial programs
called Seminar XL. This program consists of well structured
study groups composed of roughly 5 students each that meet twice per
week for 90 minutes each session to discuss course concepts and
problem-solving methods. Students must be enrolled in a course
to enroll in the corresponding Seminar XL study group. Each
group is led by what we call a facilitator, who helps to guide the
discussion. Facilitators are graduate students, upperclass
undergraduates who earned an A in the relevant course previously, and
sometimes research scientists.</font></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><font

<blockquote type="cite" cite><font face="Arial">At this point last
year, we had about 70 student enrollments in the program. This
year we are at about 120 and still increasing. Thus, we are in
need of facilitators to run a number of our study groups. The
most critical needs at the moment are for study groups corresponding
to 3.091, 7.012, 18.01,18.01A, 8.01, 8.01L, and
8.02.</font></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><font

<blockquote type="cite" cite><font face="Arial">In addition, through
our Tutorial Services Room (TSR), we offer one-on-one and group
tutoring in any course upon request. Therefore, we need TSR
tutors as well.</font></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><font

<blockquote type="cite" cite><font face="Arial">We pay grad
facilitators and tutors $15/hr and undergrads $13/hr. Pay for
research scientists is negotiable.</font></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><font

<blockquote type="cite" cite><font face="Arial">Please spread the word
among your students, especially your graduate students, of both our
urgent need to fill facilitator positions in Seminar XL and our need
for TSR tutors.</font></blockquote>
