The "Encyclopedia of Life Sciences" now
incorporates the "Encyclopedia of the Human
Genome". The MIT Libraries has had the full-text
online with a link in VERA for several years, but
it has been greatly expanded. It is updated
every year. It offers over 3,000 signed articles
covering all areas of the life sciences,
contributed by 5,000 of the world's leading
scientists. All articles are original and have
been specifically commissioned for ELS.

There is a search box where you can search on a
topic and get an excellent article. Then click
on the "related" icon to get related articles.
Each article also has a list of references., and
you can also search by author. This is also a
great source for undergraduates and for
researchers who want a good overview article.
