Seeking Laboratory Technician

A full-time research technician is needed to assist with research 
projects related to the developmental stem cell biology of the 
cardiovascular system.  Skills required for this position include 
cell culture and molecular biology (e.g. PCR, restriction cloning, 
gel electrophoresis, DNA purification, etc.). Prior experience 
working with embryonic stem cells is preferred but not necessary. Job 
duties include breeding of transgenic and knock-out mice, deriving 
new mouse embryonic stem cell lines, DNA purification, PCR 
genotyping, tissue culture, and basic histology. Some administrative 
duties will be required. Applicant must have excellent communication 
and organizational skills and great attention to detail. Successful 
candidate will have a Bachelor's degree by 7/01/06 and be expected to 
commit a minimal of two years to this position.  Salary commensurate
