Subject: [ASA-Official] ASA Fall GBM 4/6/20 | Spring LEF/ARCADE | Group Applications Close 2/29/20

Dear Student Group Leaders,

Please take note of the following announcements:

-> ASA General Body Meeting (4/6/20)

-> Spring LEF/ARCADE Applications are OPEN (Due 3/4/2020)

-> New Group Applications for Spring 2020 close on 2/28/20!

REQUIRED ATTENDANCE: ASA General Body Meeting (4/6/20)

This is an announcement that the Spring General Body Meeting will be held on Monday, April 6th from 5-7 PM (room TBA). Please arrive promptly so we can start on time to get through the agenda as efficiently as possible. Every ASA group is required to send a representative.

FSILGs, graduate dorms, and club sports may attend if they wish to but are not required to do so. Groups that do not send a representative will incur a fine and may be suspended or de-recognized if the group has repeatedly missed GBMs. Dinner will be served.

Any member may check in for a group, and a member may check in for more than one group. However, only students listed as president, treasurer, group admin, or GBM proxy in the group's Engage database entry (engage.mit.edu) may exercise the group's vote. Furthermore, no one may exercise the vote of more than one group, and each group has only one vote even if they send multiple representatives. We recognize some groups will inevitably have conflicts: please do your best to send a representative, and email the ASA ahead of time to discuss make-ups.

The agenda and room location will be sent out no later than one week before the meeting. Elections for ASA chairs will occur during this GBM: please contact the ASA if you’re interested in running for a position! If you have any topics pertaining to student group activities on campus you would like to suggest be addressed at the meeting, submit your questions, comments, or concerns using this form: <https://engage.mit.edu/submitter/form/start/389470>.
