Fall Career Fair (September 15-20) are asked to coordinate with the Fall
Career Fair organizing team and GECD a month in advance if possible. The
MIT administration has renewed its agreement to recognize the
student-organized Fall Career Fair as the primary MIT career fair during
the fall semester. If you or your student group are interested in holding
activities the week of the Fall Career Fair, or are interested in working
with the MIT Career Fair Committee in any capacity, please do not hesitate
to reach out at cf-directors at mit.edu.

(2) Graduate Student Council Orientation Opportunity

The Graduate Student Council would like to invite any student group or
club that wants to advertize their group/club to the graduate student
community to give them brochures/handouts to be put on the brochure table
and distributed at the information booth on days Tuesday and Wednesday 27th
and 28th of August (In lobby 10). If interested, please contact the
information booth coordinator 'Shabnam Raayai' (shraayai at mit.edu). This is
an opportunity for the clubs to get the attention of the graduate students
and get them to join your club or visit your club's table at the Midway.

If your group is interested in participating, please drop off 200-300
copies by about August 20 in the GSC Office on the second floor in Walker.

(4) Alumni Association Resources

Strong student groups maintain connections with their alumni through emails
and newsletters, invitations to alumni events, networking and career
development events, and requests for alumni speakers, advisors, and
mentors. The MIT Alumni Association helps student groups-including FSILGs,
residence halls, athletic teams, and student organizations -reach out to
their alumni with services ranging from alumni lists to event planning.

The Alumni Association has provided the following resources and suggestions
to student groups:

---Student Group Resources from the Alumni Association,
http://alum.mit.edu/students/StudentGroupResources

---Request lists of your student group's alumni,
http://alum.mit.edu/mit-students/student-group-resources/student-data-request-form

---Develop a communication plan to reach out to the MIT Alumni Network,
contact aa-student-services at mit.edu<mailto:aa-student-services at mit.edu> to
discuss further

---Keep your membership lists up-to-date with the MIT Alumni Association so
you can find your alumni on the Online Alumni Directory and a historical
list can be maintained, email aa-student-services at mit.edu<mailto:
aa-student-services at mit.edu> with questions and/or lists of your current
members and/or alumni
